Pele by Alvis

I chose this topic because Pele is a soccer hero and I also play soccer so I was interested in it. I went to the library and studied at the college at least 1-2 times a week. I gathered information about Pele and used it to put together my project. I learned that Pele made 1,283 goals in his 1,367 games that he played. I am interested in doing Greek mythology for my next expert project.

Titanic by Rachel

I chose this topic because it sounded interesting and I wanted to know about it. I looked on the internet, looked at books and went to the public library to get advice from other people. I learned to do a little at a time and when you have to put it up, you will be ready. Then you can gather all the information and put it all together. I want to study about Pompeii for my next expert project.

Sea Turtles by Georgie

I chose this topic because sea turtles are very interesting to me. My favorite thing about making the project was getting the pictures. When I was researching about sea turtles, I saw of a lot of cool information and pictures. One thing I learned while researching was that sea turtles can't let in their fins, which is different than box turtles. Next year, I want to study about a door because it would be very interesting to learn about that.

Telephone by Malachi

I chose this topic because I thought it would be interesting. I got my information from the internet and researching. I went to the antique store and took pictures of older models of phones to use for my board. I learned that you should make sure to space out your research and don't do it all at once. I would like to do my next expert project on lions.

Hurricanes by Dylan

I chose this topic because I am interested in hurricanes. I used the computer to research the different kinds of hurricanes. Then I created a powerpoint with all the information I gathered during the research process. I learned that you should do a little bit at a time instead of waiting until the last minute. Next year, I hope to study about animals and maybe dissection.

Greek Mythology by Jesse

I am very interested in Greek mythology and I have background knowledge about it. I wanted to learn more about the topic. I talked a lot about Mount Olympus so I made a 3D model of it and I got a lot of information about each one of the gods. I learned that this type of project is a lot of work but I enjoyed it and hope to do it again. Next year for my science fair project, I want to research about forces in motion.

Mt. Mitchell by Will

I chose this topic because I been to Mt. Mitchell before and I was interested in it. I went to Mt. Mitchell and collected different plant samples. I made a replica of Mt. Mitchell for my 3D model and I put different information I had collected on the board. Next year for my science fair project, I want to dissect an animal.

Money by Santiago

I selected this topic because I like learning about money and I wanted to know about the different kinds. I looked up on the computer the types of money and it gave me a lot of information. I made a step by step list of how to make money. I learned that the two dollar bill is rare to have because the mint doesn't make it that much. For next year, I want to do a math fair projects about angles and how they related to shapes.

John Reed's Gold Mine by Calista

I chose this topic because I was interested in it. I went to the mine and panned for a flake of gold. I took pictures and gathered information while I was visiting the actual mine. I learned that is you plan for REAL gold, you only get a little tiny flake. Next year, I hope to study about the Rubiks cube for my math fair project.

Miniature Horses by Kendra

I chose this topic because I love horses and wanted to learn more about them. I made a horse farm for my 3D model and interviewed by grandma's brother, who takes care of horses. I learned that you need to keep everything together and organized.

Volcanoes by Autumn

I chose this topic because I like the rocks and minerals in the volcano. I researched then put all the information together. I put what causes volcanoes. I compared some volcanoes like Pompeii and Mt. Saint Helens. I wrote down the most famous volcanoes. I leared that volcanoes are really dangerous but also not so dangerous. If I do another project, I would like to study about dogs.

Paranormal Activity by Alyssa

I chose this topic because I have family history in Paranormal activity. I made a project on what I learned, I interviewed my dad and I enjoyed most the Lydia's underpass. My favorite part of the project was writing my book. When doing this project, you need to be able to know how to organize your information. Next year for my science project, I will test plants with orange juice, milk and water because I like to take interest in different things.
